Public lecture on stroke and sleep disordered breathing

Ohio Sleep Medicine Institute is hosting a public lecture on stroke and sleep disordered breathing on March 18, 2012 from 2-3 p.m. at the Dublin office. Dr. Asim Roy will discuss the underlying mechanisms for stroke, transient ischemic attack, sleep apnea and upper airway resistance syndrome. He will review the risk factors, preventative strategies and treatment options.

The event is co-sponsored by the Central Ohio Sleep Disorders Support Group and Ohio Sleep Medicine Institute. Stroke is the third leading cause of death in the U.S. and sleep disordered breathing affects 15% of American adults.
